Can anyone shine some light on why this part is causing problems when I go to flatten? The way I understand the message is obviously not right. I have tried changing the bend radius' to a number of radius' but nothing works.

You'll need to flatten the part to see the message in question.

Hi,

I've submitted your model to the Unfolder team for investigation; I'll be sure to let you know if I have any updates.

Many thanks for posting this issue!

I was able to unfold the part with out a problem. I selected the edge that is perpendicular to the hole as my stationary reference (A) and then selected Add All Bends.

Any questions let me know.

I am running IV 2010 Pro....all service packed up.

Hmm. What's about reality?
In my eyes, the tiny chamfer-like bends make no sense.

Why not delete them away, and add a nice flange at the neighbouring part for
a reliable joining.
;-) The welding guys will praise you with all available honors.

nwcormier.... I can get it to flatten using the unfold feature as well. However, I need to "Create Flat Pattern".

Holzwarth....reality?? I guess the reality is that you are only seeing part of this part and none of the assembly. The way we currently create the assembly that this part is part of came from our welders. I only showed the flange that was creating the problem so there would be no question as to what feature was giving me issues.

Ok, too much thoughts from me.
Evidently you're on the right road.
