Can't Constrain parts to features made with sketch blocks

Attachment Sketch Block.zip (173.3 KB)

I created a part using the new "Sketch Blocks" in my sketch, then I build my features off of this sketch. Now when I try to constrain something to one of these features, the part that I am placing goes to the wrong location.

I have attached a sample assembly here that I built from scratch and it does the samething. To see what I am talking about, open up the assembly here and try to place another instance of the bolt into one of the counterbored holes.

I am using 2010+sub adv pack.

I have looked at you assembly and frankly I don't
quite follow. There is no relationship between two parts. Tooling Block Bolt.ipt
is placed into assembly and constrained to one of the hole. Where do you
want it go?

Regards,

Igor.

To see the issue, place another instance of the Tooling Block Bolt into the assembly. Now, use the insert constraint and constrain it to one of the counterbored holes.

When I do this, the new bolt always goes to the hole that already has the bolt in it.

I am with you now. Well, that's a bug, as has been
explained by Yizhou Cao.

Igor.

That's a known issue and has been fixed in
our latest internal build. Holes created from center points in sketch block
will have this problem. I would suggest you avoid creating holes from blocks. As
a short term workaround, you can create a center point in the sketch, constraint
it to the point in block you want to use and create holes from the new point.
