Seems like this should be able to be done easy. Ive read that a dwf can be used as an underlay in a dwg file but I need to get a sketch into a dwf file so then i can use it as an underlay in a dwg file, kind of like an overlay on tracing paper. Maybe the trick is to get into a dwg file with out using dwf????
Thanks anyone

Thanks!! Im studying it. So far the dwfwriter doenst download and stay in my computer ,it opens but doesnt stay as a program I can use.

If I scan a sketch on my scanner it asks me to spec where I scan to.....ie....email, paint corel, word pad...etc...so I guess it wants file type.
I sent the scan to the paint prgram and tried to copy and paste into the dwfwriter but all I got was a tiny blue rectangle.

So I am still trying to get a hand sketch,81/2 x 11 into a dwg file so I can scale, rotate, stretch..etc....and use as an underlay to develop a hardline dwg drawing.
Thanks again!

Thanks for the tips. I got it and also can now use a scan to set up a dwf and insert into a dwg file to use as an underlay. Its a great tool.
