Getting Todays Date

Using Inventor 2008. We have a drawing file set up the way we want all of our drawings to be. However, I can't figure out how to get the "checked date" to always be todays date. I have to go in an update it every time I use the template. How do I get this to update on it's own and insert into the drawing automatically? Thanks.

I wouldn't suggest that as you would be changing that date anytime you opened the file. I would suggest using the idw files iprops and the status tab information to populate fields like "checked date"
