I wanted to post a small thread in this forum in regards to BIM Standards. Specifically, as it pertains to Electrical Design, but not limited to.
My name is Adam S. Davis and I have recently been named to represent NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) on the Executive Board of the Building Smart Alliance. The main goal of this appointment will be to develop international BIM standards. I thought that this would be a good "forum" to gather potential suggestions from the people using this technology. If you have suggestions as it pertains to naming standards or manufactures standards, please feel free to respond to them here or to me via e-mail at adavis@vecohio.com.
