I just got a Windows 7 computer, installed my AutoCAD 2006. Got message that 2006 has known compatibility issues. The link does not turn up any pages. How do I get 2006 to work on Windows 7? I did install Service Pack 1.
Thanks, Milt

If you have the correct Win7 version, you can use it's XP compatibility
option to run R2006.

Autodesk is only going to take steps to make R2010 Win7 compliant.

Thanks Dean. I did get AutoCAD 2006 to run on Windows 7 in XP compatibility mode. I did not know that Windows had this mode.
I did the following: right click on the AutoCAD 2006 icon, click on "Troubleshoot compatibility", click on "Try recommended settings". You will probably get "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)". Click on "Start the Program".
Thanks again, Milt

Thanks for the follow up.

XPMode showed up with Vista, continues with Win7.
