Import 3DS to MDT

I have a problem to import 3DS file into MDT6.0.

It was created in 3DS 2009 by opening MDT6.0 file in 3D Studio and saved as
3DS file.
Than I was trying insert this one back to MDT, but MDT does not recognized
it.

Please help.
