Undo completely worthless.

Something is seriously wrong with the undo command in AutoCAD 2009. I could not find any posts related to this, but there are several people that I work with who have this problem.

Clicking the undo button works sometimes, other times it undoes some things and not others. For example it if you moved something and then deleted another, it will unmove the first thing, but the second is still gone. Another time I stretched a number of parts, and after hitting undo, some of the lines moved back, others stayed stretched.

What is going on here? Is it another dumb hidden setting like the way they screwed up layiso? This makes using the program very frustrating, undo is usually the thing that can save you.

Windows XP
thanks

The letter "u" is a quick key for the undo command. Does this happen when you use the quick key?

No one else has this problem? It is making AutoCAD almost unusable right now.

We are having the same problem among others. It destroyed a drawing yesterday. I moved my whole drawing and decided to undo the move; half the lines stayed and half undid! I just ripped the drawing to shreds. Lots of time wasted with that click fest to fix it back up…..

Same behavior with AutoCAD Mechanical 2010 SP1.
See the attached pdf.
After the (whole) drawing has been moved to the left, the result is as shown.
Pressing Ctrl+Z gives no result since the undo list is empty.
The drawing has been started from scratch and has been saved as Mechanical 2010.

Same here, we have one workstation running Vista that has just had IV Suite 2010 with SP1 installed and AM2010 reacts the same way, some times undo undoes sometimes it don't, when it doesn't the drawing gets screwed up big time.
Come on Autodesk do something!

I'm sure its "fixed in the next version". Oh wait 2010 is the next version. Maybe the next one then. I'm sure if they do fix it those of us with older versions will be out of luck.

If it does get fixed then it will be only 2010 unless 2011 is about to be released
