Engineers Handbook crash Inv 2010

Hi

Thought I'd use the Engineer's Handbook for the first time.

I try to access it from an assembly (which is where I would use it most) but it crashes Inventor.

I tried a tiny assembly with a single part, but it just crashes.

Help!

Hi! When it crashes, did you submit a crash report? If yes, please send me an email so I can trace down the report. BTW, is it Engineer's Notebook or Engineer's Handbook?
Thanks!

Hi Johnson

When it crashes it just keeps going and doesn't open the submit report page. I have left it for 30 mins but no crash report.

What is the difference between Notebook and Handbook? If it helps, I am using the Create Note from the right-click menu after selecting a part within an assembly.

Thanks, Neil.

I am using the Create Note

You are trying to use Engineer's Notebook. Try adding a note in ipt and see if it crashes.

Engineer's Handbook is the Help reference of forumulas used in Inventor.

I have experienced the same thing. I am using Window Vista 64 bit, and have not used notebook since The 2010 upgrade (I think) certainly not since SP1. Trying to 'Create Note' results in the programme failing to respond, and I have to close it. No opportunity is given to create an error report. I think this is a software problem that Autodesk will have to fix if they are awaire of it.
