ADR 2010 program error * will not launch

WinXP-SP3

Both ADR2008 and DWF Viewer were installed, but neither would launch. As
soon as you tried to execute either one, a program error occurred.

We removed both applications using Windows Add/Remove programs

We downloaded the latest ADR2010, plus the hotfix, and installed along
with Trueview 2010.

When we try to launch ADR 2010 now, we get the same program error
(Trueview works fine).

The error is attached as an image.

Now that many Autodesk employees are back this week, any comment on this?

Thank you for your feedback.

This issue has already been reported, however, we have not been able to consistently reproduce the problem.

A defect has already been logged and developers are actively working on it. We will let you know once we have a fix of this issue.

We are receiving a similar error when attempting to start the latest Design Review software:

Faulting application designreview.exe, version 10.0.0.108, faulting module designreview.exe, version 10.0.0.108, fault address 0x0001255a.

Would this error be included in the fault you're looking into?

Unfortunately I cannot obtain a screenshot at this time as the client's office is some distance away.

This happens EVERY time the software starts though, it crashes and produces a dialog box with the error stated above.

Surely a screenshot is not required to investigate this error.

In our case, we gave up and replaced the machine. I still have the old
machine if you need some data from it.

I have downloaded ADR 2010 twice.. the first time the application failed to launch, only getting as far as the start up image, and the second time... exactly the same thing!
Frustratingly, I can not see a way around this, and therefore I am unable to use this application. What strikes me is, the first down load was as the result of a pop up box appearing when I tried to create a drawing as a DWF in AutoCAD 2008, the pop up suggesting that a new version was now available, and the second was downloaded direct from Autodesk.
If as I have now read this forum, Autodesk are aware of the issue, and are working on a fix, why is the web site still allowing downloads? (coupled with why does the help desk not know about – I phoned to discuss... but they were not aware of any issues!)

I have same problem on two PC now. But they were ok probably two weeks ago.

I also have this same problem. Are there any developments on this issu?
