publish to DWF creates visible text masks in DWF underlay

When publishing a sheet or sheets from a Civil3D 2010 dwg to DWF, the background masks all aquire a grey color, when the DWF is attached as an underlay in a C3D2010 DWG.

The textmasks are set to "use background color," and our drawing window uses black as the background.

normal plotting to paper behaves as expected.

the DWF appears correctly in Design Review 2010 - all the text masks appear white/background.

I know of only (3) sysvars that handle DWF publishing, and they don't seem to have any affect on this strange behavior.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Craig,

I got the same problem using a DWF file from Revit Structure which I inserted as underlay into AutoCAD 2009 drawing file.
If you ever find a solution to this problem, just let me know.

Craig,

The text mask background problem in DWF being inserted in AutoCAD comes from Revit Structure text sets. Setting all the text background in Revit from opaque to transparent solved my DWF problem in AutoCAD 2009. The text in DWF file is a multiline text and AutoCAD 2009 uses the background drawing color for every occurrence of Mtext.

You can also set the DWF underlay's properties in AutoCAD: Contrast to 100 and Fade to 0 .
