Hi

I have created some icons that l like to use in my map. I use transparent PNG files and loaded them into a symbolc library. Now I need to move the reference point (some image have different offset)

Now to my problem, I can“t see the in the preview of the reference point dialog. If I use
predefind like cross and star i can see the symbol and set the reference point.

How should i create the symbols so the can work with the MG Studion.

Thanx
dswilson

Can you attach a simple screenshot showing your problem? I have loaded a transparent png image into a symbol library and when I've used that in a layer, I click on the Reference point button and a box comes up with a little red marker in the middle showing the reference point. See my screenshot:

One of the symbols, could it be that they are too large ?

I think there are 2 issues:

1) The background color is set to black and that may also be the transparent color. I would try setting it to white.
2) When using in studio on a layer the default settings make the image too small to see. You need to increase the size of the symbol in the Style Point dialog.

As a side note this is really a MapGuide Enterprise issue so this should be in the other forum. This forum is for MapGuide 6.5 and older versions.

Dave
