Installation fails. Reads already installed.

Trying to install/reinstall Design Review and Setup states that Design Review is already installed.
Our QA Engineer tried to install ADR. It installed but gave an error at startup and instructed the user to reinstall.
He contacted me to assist. Below are the steps I have taken with no positive results.
I am a system Admin. on the selected computer.
I have removed ADR using ADD/REMOVE programs in Win XP SP2 control panel.
I had to manually delete the ADR from the Program Files folder.
I went thru the registry and removed all references to Autodesk.
I rebooted after each step.
What am I missing?

Thank you. What version are you trying to install? What
exactly does the error state?

Thanks for the reply.
Autodesk Design Review 2009
The message reads " Autodesk Design Review 2009 already installed."
I read thru the messages and downloaded the Uninstaller program mentioned in one of the threads. It did not find any references
to ADR 2009.
On a whim I performed a system restore which put the failed 1st install of ADR 2009 back on. Reinstalled the 3rd party removal program
and had it perform the ADR 2009 uninstall with all registry entries and files. Then tried to install/reinstall ADR 2009 with the same
results. " Autodesk Design Review 2009 already installed."

Solved. On the PC their is a folder under Program Files named Common.
In this Common was an Autodesk folder with several files.
I renamed the Autodesk folder, used Add/Remove to get rid of the failed install and then ran a fresh Install.
It worked. ADR 2009 is now installed. Hope this helps anyone else with the same issue.

We are having the same problem here:
Error says that it is already installed. There is no trace of design review in the registry or add and remove programs. I tried renaming the file listed above and the error persisted.
Any more ideas?
Running windows XP pro sp2 with autodesk mechanical desktop 2008 and 2009.
