Fellas,

Is there any way to view an *.idw without having Inventor? The DWF viewer doesn't see it. I know it's a long shot but anybody got any ideas?

Is there ONE viewer that will view all of the following?

IDW
Inventor DWG
Autocad DWG

Surely I do not have to use two different viewer apps to accomplish this?

Inventor viewer won't read Acad dwgs, and Acad or TrueView won't read
Inventor IDW files.

You will need the free Autodesk Inventor View and the free Autodesk DWG
TrueView. Install twice and then use both of them for life. You know those
people who say "Measure twice. Cut once." Well think, "Install twice. Use
more than once." :-) We tried making one viewer for everything (which people
want) called Volo View but it did not turn out well:

"two viewers"...that's true you CAN NOT open either dwg formats with IV 2008 Viewer!

Why not?...I've always known "Inventor View" as basically a stripped down version of IV...so why didn't they include both .dwg formats for the 2008 IV Viewer? IV 2008 can open both dwg formats?

The Autodesk Inventor LT technology Preview is more than a viewer. It lets
you create content. For some situations, our customers do not want others to
be able to change anything - just look.
