Jerry,
I searched ont the Internet, and discovered what it is all about. For those
of you who would like to know, here is the explanation.
FlexLM may use two mechanisims to lock a software: the Ethernet address, as
all AutoCAD network users know, or a dongle. If a software publisher chooses
to go with the dongle, then the infamous DS1410D service, implemented in
DS1410D.sys, is needed. For obscure reaseon, the FlexLM installed by
AutoCAD, although it does not need this service, wishes to start it.
To me, the developpers of FlexLM did not take great care developping it.
Elan licence manager was no much better.

Gilles,
You are correct that this message is linked to the FLEXlm server. The
message and the condition that causes it are harmless.

Hi,
does some know what is the DS1410D service ? It seems to be related to
FlexLM. When the server is restarted, there is an entry in the log
stating
that this service could not start. Though, the licence server seems to
work
OK. AutoCAD 2002 networked, Windows 2000.
Thanks.
